Password import edge not working

Hi guys,

I am having trouble with import my saved passwords from chrome to edge.

Its like the new edge update doenst allow me to import a csv. I can search for it but when i click on import nothing happens.

Tried this on different stations all with the new edge version unfortunate

    Thank God for Google or else we'd never get Microsoft web products to work.

    Looks like Microsoft still can't get it right. The newest incarnation of Edge completely removes the ability to import a .CVS file. I don't know what the technicians there are doing, but they clearly aren't getting the job done. Version 107.0.1418.42 (Official build) (64-bit)

    There have clearly been problems with the import of passwords from a CSV file and the function was removed from the stable version some weeks ago. However, it is working again in the current Canary release. If this function is important to you, it shouldn't be difficult to work around the problem with Stable. Make sure Stable is up to date (⋯ (Settings and more) > Settings > About Microsoft Edge), then:

    1. Sign in to the Stable profile with a Microsoft Account and set up sync, at least for Passwords.
    2. Download and run the Canary installer: Download Microsoft Edge Insider Channels
      Canary and Stable live happily side by side, independent of each other with no mutual interference*.
    3. Launch Canary and sign in to the profile with the same Microsoft Account as at (1).
    4. Import passwords from CSV.
    5. Wait a bit for passwords to sync between the two profiles.

    Once the process is complete, you can happily leave Canary there, or uninstall it from Apps and features.

    * Any policies that may have been set up in Edge will apply in both Stable and Canary.

    I have an other workaround, that works surprisingly well:

    You export the passwords to a csv file in edge.

    Then you install google chrome.

    Go to chrome://flags -> enable import passwords

    Import the passwords into chrome from the edge_passwords.csv (or whatever name u have given)

    Then you open the new edge and go to settings -> import browser data

    You want to select Import From Google Chrome - passwords only

    and your passwords should be imported.

    I've tried this on different devices already (we also have to move a few installations of old pcs to new pcs) and so far it worked.
