Password import edge not working

I actually found a solution by importing all the favorites and passwords from Chrome! Under the "Import browser data now" in edge, import everything from Chrome. After that, all the passwords should pop up. I tested it on 2 machines. It seems that the passwords import feature is bugged in Edge, so I am not using it for the time being.

Maybe this is because of the new version that was released? It worked fine for me yesterday, I did the profile import NOT the CSV import, because the CSV Import is still broken either way. How did you import your passwords into chrome?

I am having trouble with import my saved passwords from chrome to edge.

Its like the new edge update doenst allow me to import a csv. I can search for it but when i click on import nothing happens.

Tried this on different stations all with the new edge version unfortunate

I tried everything as well. At first I thought this was related to either my profile or my PC. So I tried to sideload the passwords on my mac, and then sync them to the profile, but this did not work either. The functionality must be completely shut down. I did however create a quick workaround that worked just fine.

I installed Chrome, imported my password CSV into "Profile 1" NOT Gmail.com - you need to "ENABLE" the experimental feature "PASSWORD IMPORT" else you will not get the option to do so natively in Chrome (Only Export will show, until you enable "IMPORT." - If you dont know how to do this, a quick web search will help

Once my passwords were imported into chrome, I was able to import the entire profile, or selected elements from "Profile 1" from Chrome, directly into Edge, as that functionality seems intact - and also seems to work on my PC - Unsure if this will work in MacOS

Then I cleared all passwords and history from chrome and deleted it. It's a longer process, but gets to the same endpoint, and was much easier than typing in the 600 or so logins that I have saved since like 2007.

I tried that too but didn't work for me... passwords are in Chrome and I tried to import profile 1 into Edge, Edge informs that profile has been imported, but passwords aren't imported...

I'm gonna try and uninstall the current version and reinstall an older one to see if that'll provide a temporary remedy. I'll let you all know what happens.
