Password import edge not working

Hi guys,

I am having trouble with import my saved passwords from chrome to edge.

Its like the new edge update doenst allow me to import a csv. I can search for it but when i click on import nothing happens.

Tried this on different stations all with the new edge version unfortunate

    Thanks for the Tips.

    Sync was/is turned on in Edge and has been running for a several days. It did not sync my passwords.

    I ended up importing them into Chrome, then importing from Chrome to Edge. That worked flawlessly.

    Seems like a simple process. Hopefully they will get this fixed in Edge soon.

    Not that I've been able to test, I'm afraid.

    The obvious way is to use Sync:

    1. Sign in to the Edge browser profile on the old computer with a Microsoft Account.
    2. Enable Sync and ensure that Passwords is selected in the list of items to sync.
    3. Sign into the Edge browser profile on the new computer with the same Microsoft Account.
    4. Enable Sync and ensure that Passwords is selected in the list of items to sync.
    5. Wait a couple of hours for sync to work.
      It will go faster if you limit the amount of data to be synced, so it may be worth while selecting only Passwords on both machines for a start. You could add other items later if you wanted to.

    I understand it's still possible to import passwords from Chrome, so another potential workaround is:

    1. Install Chrome.
    2. Import passwords into Chrome from the CSV file.
    3. Import passwords into Edge from Chrome.

    I'd be interested to hear whether this works.

    I got a new computer so exported my Edge password file from my old computer and the new computer won't let me import it. New computer has version 105.0.1343.33. I assume this is the same issue that the Edge Engineers are aware of? I use this computer for work and have multiple logins for 22 homeowner's associations I work for so I need those passwords! Any way around this to get them in there? (Besides adding one at a time!)

    I have a problem importing passwords from a .csv file created by edge after doing an update to Microsoft EdgeVersion 105.0.1343.33.

    HELP!

    I May not have encountered this problem if this Case #:1032672382 had been addressed that I opened last year. Every Windows/Edge Update Edge loses passwords, and I must import them.

    The problem with importing passwords from a CSV file is a known issue. I'm told the Edge engineers have identified the root cause and are working on a fix, but there's no ETA for it yet.

    Have you tried importing direct from Chrome if it's installed on the same machine? On the page edge://settings/profiles/importBrowsingData, click on Choose what to import, select Google Chrome and Saved passwords.
