Does the new Edge browser work with Kiosk mode?

I set up loaner devices to just use the browser.  I recently updated them to Windows10-2004 and installed the new Edge browser. I just get a blank blue screen when I try to sign in with kiosk mode after setting it up to open with Edge (the Icon that I am able to select still looks like the old one).  Does anyone know if I need to go back to the old OS or the old Edge?

    Hi Alex,

    I've been running command prompt on stable version on 2 machines for about a week now and so far so good it seems to be working fine every time I start up... what am I "missing" ? In other words what risk am I taking by deploying in stable Edge?

    PS If I switch to Beta - does that mean my command prompt becomes "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft*EdgeBeta*Application*msedgebeta.exe*" --kiosk http://INSERT URL --edgebeta**-kiosk-type-fullscreen

    Hi Sue, 

    I wasn't able to get the kiosk experience up and working via command line in the latest version of Stable today, but it behaved as expected in Beta. Using Stable, the "--edge-kiosk-type=fullscreen" command opened a browser window instead of a fullscreen kiosk. Using the public browsing command also resulted in a new window that was signed in with my existing profile on Stable, where it launched an InPrivate window on Beta. This might explain your results in Stable - the commands will run and launch a Stable tab/window, but the full kiosk experience shouldn't be working in Stable yet. 

    As to switching between Stable and Beta, the only difference is in the file path, not in the executable or kiosk type command. 

    For me, the path difference looks like this:

    Edge Stable - C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft*Edge*\Application

    Edge Beta - C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft*Edge Beta*\Application

    Ok thanks Alex... one more thing... when Kiosk is running in Beta, does ctrl-alt-del exit it?

    Per the doc, F11 should exit full screen (while in full screen mode). 

    The Windows key also opens the Start menu even in full screen. 

    Additional lockdown functions are planned in the future!

    Thank you! One odd thing... If the intenet connection is lost the screen asks if I want to play a game while I wait. Any way to remove that?.
