Does the new Edge browser work with Kiosk mode?

I set up loaner devices to just use the browser.  I recently updated them to Windows10-2004 and installed the new Edge browser. I just get a blank blue screen when I try to sign in with kiosk mode after setting it up to open with Edge (the Icon that I am able to select still looks like the old one).  Does anyone know if I need to go back to the old OS or the old Edge?

    Sorry for any confusion! Version 86.0.622.63 is up to date for the Stable channel.  Kiosk mode is not yet available in the Stable channel, but will be available starting with version 87, which is targeted for release later this month. 

    If you want to get started with kiosk mode today, you will need to download the Beta Channel from our Microsoft Edge Insiders page. The Beta channel is the most stable Microsoft Edge preview experience.

    Thanks! I downloaded the beta channel and set up kiosk. Used a basic news channel url to test www.cbc.ca. But it is still just displaying a blue screen, except this time I am hearing repeated Microsoft "dings" every several seconds.

    Can you confirm your command line setup is in line with what's listed in this doc? https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-configure-kiosk-mode#use-kiosk-mode-features

    You may need to try the Dev channel for some features (like configuring using Windows Settings or setting up Assigned Access), these would also require downloading the Windows 10 Insider Preview builds.     Where do I find the command line?Sorry, I am not a techie; I thought Kiosk was supposed to be a simple way to set up a kiosk... am I better to wait for the stable version?

    No problem at all! You can definitely wait until the Stable version if you're not comfortable with managing the setup. 

    Windows Settings is the simplest way to set up one or two single-app kiosk devices. If you're comfortable installing the Dev channel and the Windows 10 Insider Preview build, you can configure kiosk mode using Windows Settings (the kiosk config wizard) and these directions - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-configure-kiosk-mode#configure-using-windows-settings

    Note that the setup using Windows Settings will also come to Stable, so you can wait and try it out after that update as well. 

    It's up to you which you prefer based on your comfort level. Hope that helps!
