Does the new Edge browser work with Kiosk mode?

I set up loaner devices to just use the browser.  I recently updated them to Windows10-2004 and installed the new Edge browser. I just get a blank blue screen when I try to sign in with kiosk mode after setting it up to open with Edge (the Icon that I am able to select still looks like the old one).  Does anyone know if I need to go back to the old OS or the old Edge?

    Hi Alex

    When I clicked register, Microsoft automatically registered an old email address that is defunct. I have tried many times over that past year to change my email address in the profile but it seems I am unable to do that. That is not the email address that I need to use to set up the kiosk. Now what?

    I just want to set up kiosk and have the URL run without showing a blue page. What is the easiest and fastest way to do that? I find the account stuff confusing especially since I don't need any cloud features and want the sign to run without requiring a sign in.

    Hi Sue, 

    The instructions in this section cover how to install the Windows 10 Insider Preview and the Microsoft Edge Dev channels required for setting up Kiosk mode using Windows Settings (using the wizard instead of command line setup.) 

    Note from the bottom of that page: General availability (Stable release) of Microsoft Edge kiosk mode with assigned access single app on Windows is currently set for early 2021.

    Hi Alex,

    Originally, the release date for Kiosk on Stable was week of Nov 19. But if that was just security updates, I need to know when the assigned access and setup using settings will work. Otherwise,

     how do I download the Edge Dev version to try that instead? Please let me know. I was okay to wait till this week but if it is now indefinite I can't wait.

    How do you select Dev or Beta I cannot.

    Hi EricSLiu, 

    Just to confirm, are you unable to select Dev or Beta as a kiosk app using the wizard?

    If you're not seeing it there, can you confirm you've installed the Dev or Beta channels and installed the latest Windows 10 Insider Preview, version 20215 or higher? To install the Windows 10 Insider Preview, follow the instructions in Getting started with Windows 10 Insider Preview Builds.
