Does the new Edge browser work with Kiosk mode?

I set up loaner devices to just use the browser.  I recently updated them to Windows10-2004 and installed the new Edge browser. I just get a blank blue screen when I try to sign in with kiosk mode after setting it up to open with Edge (the Icon that I am able to select still looks like the old one).  Does anyone know if I need to go back to the old OS or the old Edge?

    I came here with the  same problem as "Idontlikechangebutwilldomybest,"

    Read the responses and followed the links to other articles. Tried those but nothing worked (Downloaded the Canary version of Edge Chromium) which worked in regular Windows, but was not a choice when setting up a kiosk.

    Finally uninstalled that and force-uninstalled Chredge.

    Computer reverted to the old Edge which the kiosk uses as expected.

    Such a simple task to set up a kiosk the old way, made impossible by Chredge.

    Kiosk mode can be used with command-line options, where you can define your own story of lockdown.  For the best lockdown experience, we recommend using assigned access with kiosk mode – there’s a preview available with the Windows Insiders release.

    We’re excited for you to give it a try! Feel free to let us know what you think by submitting feedback through the browser (Shift+Alt+I from a PC.)

    Thanks for the links.  Those solutions do not fit our needs.  I will be reinstalling the old edge and holding off any updates until this issue is resolved.
