Saved Tabs Feature

I loved the save tabs feature on the previous version of Edge. I was excited when a new version became available, but after I finished downloading it I noticed that this feature doesn't seem to be included. I had some tabs saved on the older version, and I would really like to get them back. Is this feature included in the new Edge? Is there a way to get my tabs back that were saved? Please help!

    Hi SpenAdams

    the feature to set aside tabs is not available in the new version, however there is a collections feature, in which you can save tabs, pictures or selected text

    click on the collections icon (next to the favourites icon, looks like two squares with a +)

    click on add current page to add the tab

    drag selected text or images to add the item.

    unfortunately there is no way to transfer the set aside tabs into the new version of Edge.

    The collections feature hasn't been added yet to the standard track release. 

    And from the sound/previews of it this really isn't a replacement for saved browsing sessions, more like a work-around. 

    SpenAdams, you can get to your saved browsing sessions by looking in Favorites > Other Favorites > Tabs Set Aside but each session is it's own folder and there isn't a preview anymore so good luck guessing which session is which if you had as many as I did.

    If anyone finds a way to go back to the legacy edge please let me know!

    This is a HUGE oversight as far as I'm concerned.  I was able to go to Favorites and find the 7 groups of set aside tabs under the folder "set aside tabs".  At least I was able to rename the folders.  Set aside tabs allowed for a much faster work experience.  For many reasons.

    1. You could set aside all of the open tabs in one click and the when you open the new group you are only working with that group.  Now I have to close each individual tab in a group.  
    2. It was one click to see the tab groups and there were previews of the pages in the group to be sure the group was what you needed.
    3. One click to delete a group.

    Using the favorites requires so many extra steps and zero previews of the tabs.  I hope they are working to resolve this oversight in the future.  Sadly, when I used Firefox this was a feature that I utilized a lot and it too became less and less useful.  Apparently developers don't use this and they get too happy with their ideas.  They may have made Favorites more useful but removing this feature makes Edge almost unusable for me as it will slow my work considerably.

    i totally agree with you !! that's the only reason i use Edge and also got hyped about the new version !! I am disappointed !

    i hope they add it back soon  !

    I, also, miss the Set Aside Tab feature. I used it a lot to quickly save a group of tabs and then quickly restore them. The tabs were typically of Microsoft's online docs that I frequently reference. If I was able to download any and all of the docs I reference, I would.
