SSL - Error - How to go "around" it

I add the same problem but, I kept trying to access my router DSR-250N with Microsoft Edge Version 120.0.2210.91 (Official build) (64-bit). I found a work around.

 Open Microsoft Edge then press (Ctrl+Shift+N) it will open (New InPrivate windows) or right-click on the browser icon on the task bar and select (New InPrivate windows) and then you can access the router by entering the IP address of the router in the address bar.

You still get the error (your connection isn't private) or ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH, but you just click on the (Advanced) Button and then click on the (Continue to (IP address of your router) (unsafe)). You will get the login screen of your router.

All newer versions of browsers may have the same problem. Newer versions of browsers have a similar (InPrivate windows) or (InPrivate) or (incognito)… etc. The instruction to access your router is the same as MS Edge explain above.

I tested: Fire fox and Google Chrome.

It worked for me.

Im uninstalling the browser because of this bro. What happened to the customer is always right.

I have the following problem, while accessing a website from a partner

Error Message:

ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH

Unsupported protocol

The client and server don't support a common SSL protocol version or cipher suite.

Google Chrome lets me open the page, but tells me: "Your connection to this site is not fully secure". 

I know, that the website uses an "outdated" security configuration. But this partner may not so fastly change that. Is there a possibility to tell Edge kind a list of websites, where he can ignore that? To disable this feature completely is not a solution in my opinion. (to manage a "whitelist also not, but it is the smaller pain)

Other suggestion? (other Browser is also no opinion and with Internet Explorer 11 it does not work :-( )

Hi David,

Had the same issue you are having and also tried other browsers (e.g. Microsoft Edge) to no avail. For context, I'm using a Windows 11 laptop and always browse on Chrome.

Here's what worked for me:

1. Uninstall your network adapter (Device Manager --> Network Adapters --> [look for your network adapter] --> [right-click] --> Uninstall Device [make sure to check the box "Attempt to remove the driver for this device"])
2. Restart your computer
3. Vua-la 🙌

Reason this (seems to) work: some old enterprise networks are running outdated stuff (for simplicity's sake 😂) and your computer's network adapter might not be cooperating with the network you're trying to connect to. I'm no network admin; just love to tinker and figure things out, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
