    I got the same behaviour

i even change hdd, install win 10, upgrade to win 11, then install office apps from office.microsoft.com , and when try to activate the local app it show me error CAA5004B.

I then reinstall Windows 10 again clearing all the previous partition and upgrade to win11, get the apps and get the same result with they or Edge login

my laptop updated or tried it already messed it up 2 weeks ago when it updated and now i am no longer admin, i went to the community to figure out how to deal with this AGAIN, made me change user which i did but when i did that it updated AGAIN (twice in 1 day) no i have no admin control what so ever. no today when you restart or shut down and start and i tried to sign in to the welcome microsoft edge i won't let me now ...to synch now i am getting the same error code and microsoft states we are working on it the error code 3 15 1067. i am like you it won't let me click on START at all i can right click that is about it. i am so tired dealing with microsoft and the BS constant update. i am gonna start sending my bills and reimbursement every time i have to get a new laptop. oh yeah here is the fun part as well when it updates when i either restart or shut down, it will try to update then stops and says it couldn't complete the update then unupdate everything it tried to update. which is really getting on my nerves as well

I have the same exact problem that -----JC----- had above today.

    I'm on Windows 11 Pro 22H2 Build 22621.963

I can log into my microsoft 365 account using a web browser and can use Outlook web access, Teams on the site, word, etc. However, I cannot log into edge, the Teams app, Word, Outlook, Excel apps at all on my PC. Worked fine on Friday.

I have Internet access fine and tried two completely different Internet providers with the same results.

Removed my Microsoft work account from Settings/Accounts

    Not on a temporary profile

Can't even sign into my Microsoft account inside Settings/Accounts now either.

    Please help.

Successfully signs into https://account.microsoft.com/ Does not sync with Edge. Not a temp profile. Teams Desktop App will not open and does not give error (web app does work) not sure if that is related.

The most probable cause is that you're logged in on a temporary profile instead of the original Account Profile in Windows. To check. open registry and go to this folder location
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList- open the sub-folders of ProfileList and make sure to adjust the border on the right so you can see the whole GUID of the profiles

    Image

    • look at the ImagePath of the profile that has .bak at the end - that should show your Profile Name and the other folder with the same profile id is most probably the temp profile, rename the profile folder of the temp profile and add .old
    • remove the .bak of the profile folder with your profile name
    • close the registry and restart your PC
    • that should fix the problem
