New Microsoft Edge wont play HDR videos in YouTube

As the title describes, I cannot play/ see HDR YouTube videos - the option is not available any more from the resolution selection.

With previous Edge (prior to 15/01/2020) I could and I could also choose a higher resolution from my screen's native one.

I would like to point out also, that neither Chrome and Firefox provide such option - I really cannot understand why but my issue here is with Edge.

Yes, my screen is HDR capable.

I would highly appreciate any help into solving this matter.

    as I noted awhile ago my problem isn't one now. edge plays hdr fine and so does google chrome now, been like this for months so i dont use beta now. i dont think firefox nor waterfox can play HDR videos though.

    so whats your question? if your monitor is not capable you cant view hdr videos. it will just default to normal

    As you can see below, I can stream HDR video and I was able to watch lot's of HDR content on YouTube in the past with no issues until a while back when the HDR option on YouTube disappeared due to updates.

    ok so I didn't want to take the latest update because it interferes with my cricket 19 pc game, I also haven't updated to 14.29 (or whatever the latest is) redistributable x64: mine is 'Microsoft Visual C++ 2019 X64 Minimum Runtime - 14.27.29112'
    cos that interfere with the game and makes it crash at the intro. So yes there is certain things I do away with, BUT IT HASNT INTERFERED with any of the HDR. my current version----below
