New Microsoft Edge wont play HDR videos in YouTube

As the title describes, I cannot play/ see HDR YouTube videos - the option is not available any more from the resolution selection.

With previous Edge (prior to 15/01/2020) I could and I could also choose a higher resolution from my screen's native one.

I would like to point out also, that neither Chrome and Firefox provide such option - I really cannot understand why but my issue here is with Edge.

Yes, my screen is HDR capable.

I would highly appreciate any help into solving this matter.

    I also facing this problem. To force color profile to HDR was looks great for Youtube HDR videos content BUT it also makes the SDR content too dark as well. How I can fix this please??

    To watch Netflix, I used the Store application and this working perfectly, the movies are stream as HDR (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+D to checked this) but from the Edge browser is NOT HDR.

    FYI, with latest version  81.0.416.64 problem remains/ it's not resolved.

    It simply doesn't work correctly.  Changing something to "SRGB" means you aren't getting wider color gamut with actual HDR.  

    Both Google Chrome and Chromium Edge show a HDR flag on the content but you get what Nick_747 showed, blown out highlights and some off colors.  It is on MSFT to fix the issue with OS and/or Chromium update (which should enable Google Chrome too). 

    The old Edge still works correctly.

    I know all about that stuff.  what i have resorted to doing is use the 'beta' chrome for  "sRGB"when i have 'HDR' off'  when i have HDR' on, i use normal chrome, with all defaulted conditions otherwise i get washed out colours .

    on my radeon PC，chrome cannot output real HDR，it play worse than edge……
