Anyone using (new) Edge C (GA) & or testing the Edge Insider beta Channels, comments (bad AND good), tips, info to share, observations, suggestions/requests, issues/problems, curiosities, questions, you name it... The floor is yours...

Myself, I have run all available Insider Builds since April.  And, now, running Edge C GA, as well; swapped from HTML Jan. 15th.

I am/have been very impressed with the performance.  Been a bit fun adapting to some things/methods/locations/layouts/structure.  Some NTML features seem missing, BUT, heaps more stuff is coming very soon.  Some 'new' & different items are quite cool.  It has been interesting as an Insider.  And it will be interesting for people using & discovering THIS Edge.  It is, well, IMHO, will be THE outstanding browser.  I, strongly urge & encourage Folks to adopt it. Be prepared, though... it's very fast

Let's see what more detail & specifics y'all may have, will have to add here...

Anxious for your remarks, look forward to the input that can be share to everyone's benefit, of course.

The floor is yours...

Cheers,

Drew

Quite expect Dark to not need its flag, soon due to its popularity & the amount to which, it has been requested.  I'm, also, a Bing Insider.  Dark for it has been implemented for Mobile and will start rolling out sometime in the near future.  For PCs et al, it's coming someday, too.

A feature I feel is note-worthy is Strict Tracking Prevention.  And there is a good chance, once people have Collections they will end up liking & using that a lot.  But, at least, GA has Share... we went a while as Insiders without that.

And one handy/helpful extension I do use is Scroll button(s). (Have tried various extensions, yet, actually, use VERY few )

Thank-You Drew for the information, I also like the "Strict Tracking Prevention" and for those members that are not familiar with The "flag" we are referring too, just type this into a new open tab at the top of the browser Edge://flags/#enable-force-dark   there you can Enable the switch so all web pages will be Dark Mode. Much Nicer on the eyes. I do hope they eliminate the need to set this flag soon Drew, Cause it really is one of the browsers best features.

I do not use any Extensions now , but I may try the one you have suggested. Do you have any thoughts on Ad Blockers Extensions?... I'm currently Not using any, because I see that we already have one similar to uBlock Origin installed to the New Edge Chromium Browser.

    Hi Drew,

Perhaps "upgraded" isn't the appropriate term(?) I selected an option to use MS Edge Beta instead of Edge.

Yes, I am running Beta as my default browser but I should probably check my settings.

And I don't know what GS is but if I click the link you provided I guess I will find out.

    Thank you for your help!

    Kim

You're welcome, Kim.  It was  GA (not, GS).  And, oops, it's a Microsoft term meaning General Availability, it is what Chromium Edge calls "Stable"... basically means the 'real' thing not, beta versions.

Sounds like you were running the Edge Beta Channel along side your embedded Edge HTML browser.

    Cheers,

    Drew

👌, well, that's interesting... now, you, really, are taking the, actual, non-beta, GA, "Stable" version.  Now, (new) Chromium-based Edge will replace Edge HTML that you had.  Should be quite seamless, enjoy👍👍 It will automatically take its place as the OS Default web browser, btw.

    Cheers,

    Drew
