Anyone using (new) Edge C (GA) & or testing the Edge Insider beta Channels, comments (bad AND good), tips, info to share, observations, suggestions/requests, issues/problems, curiosities, questions, you name it... The floor is yours...

Myself, I have run all available Insider Builds since April.  And, now, running Edge C GA, as well; swapped from HTML Jan. 15th.

I am/have been very impressed with the performance.  Been a bit fun adapting to some things/methods/locations/layouts/structure.  Some NTML features seem missing, BUT, heaps more stuff is coming very soon.  Some 'new' & different items are quite cool.  It has been interesting as an Insider.  And it will be interesting for people using & discovering THIS Edge.  It is, well, IMHO, will be THE outstanding browser.  I, strongly urge & encourage Folks to adopt it. Be prepared, though... it's very fast ��

Let's see what more detail & specifics y'all may have, will have to add here...

Anxious for your remarks, look forward to the input that can be share to everyone's benefit, of course.

    It Makes perfect sense Now Drew,

           er... you mentioned that a flag is No Longer Needed if in the flags settings it is set to "Default" . But both of my Flags were set to default for the Grammar and Force dark mode. I had to change them to "Enable" to get them to work properly. ?

    An explanation about flags & feature flow in the Channels:

    Things will start in Canary and maybe find their way to GA (stable) and maybe with some modification by the time they end up in GA.  Many things, also, work with 'Flags'... these things may or may not end up being reality... as Flags they are forced to exist... IF they become Default the flag is no longer needed.  BUT, while needing the flag, at least, 2 things are determined; (1), does it work well, properly & as intended & (2) is it wanted, used & liked by enough people to become Default & drop the flag.

    There are a few things that needed flags, but, do not any longer ( depending a bit which Channel & at which point in time).

    I trust this ⬆ helps make a wee bit more sense of it.

    Hi Leprechaun,

    Thank you for your reply.

    Running windows 10 version 1909  in safe mode with networking, Norton is automatically disabled.

    Therefore if Norton is the culprit and not enabled in safe mode and  therefore MS EDGE CHROMIUM should work flawlessly, unfortunately this is not the case in safe mode time lag is the same.

    Would welcome more solutions to this issue.

    Also please check some of the posts on this board about Norton 360. I'm Not Positive, but I'd check into Norton 360 as a possible culprit.

    On a sour note, I installed the new MS Edge Chromium last week however there is an issue with Loading from cold boot

    After clicking on the edge icon it takes 28 seconds for edge to populate and then 7 seconds to go to home page (google).

    Comparing with previous edge (last week) it took 10 seconds from cold boot to load home page.

    I have done a plethora of tweaks,

    1. Uninstalled network adapter driver and rebooted no improvement

    2.Disabled proxy settings no improvement

    1. Disabled extensions no improvement
    2. Ran trouble shooter no improvement
    3. Cleared browser cache

    6 disabled start up programs

    1. Disabled Norton 360
    2. Safe mode with networking no improvement in loading.

    My conclusion is very buggy.

    I have uninstalled MS Edge Chromium and reverted back to MS Edge, from cold boot to home page as was last week 10 seconds to load home page from cold boot.

    As a side not google chrome loads from cold boot in 12 seconds to home page.

    Any thoughts from anyone on how to improve this issue
