Profile picture in new Microsoft Edge won't update

The new Microsoft Edge won't update my profile picture; it is still using an old one.

Steps that I have taken:

1.  I have updated the picture twice online in my Microsoft account.

2.  I have deleted the old picture from both of my Windows 10 systems.

3.  I have deleted my Edge profile several times.

4.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled Edge.

Nothing that I have done seems to help. Would like to know if this is a bug or something else is going on.

    The followings work for me:

    1. Go to C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default
    2. Create a image file with your profile picture, name it as "Edge Profile Picture.png" if it doesn't exist.

    What helped me is I just signed out of my account in the browser and then signed in again. :) 

    Simplest solve ever and I had to find it here! Thank you!

    The followings work for me:

    1. Go to C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default
    2. Create a image file with your profile picture, name it as "Edge Profile Picture.png" if it doesn't exist. 

    I started to look for something like this but, wasn't quite sure where to start. Excellent information, this absolutely worked for me.

    I considered just renaming the existing file .bak and see if it would force a replace but on my first system I just replaced it with my own image and restarted Edge and it worked just fine.

    As I mentioned in my first response, this method worked great on the first system I tried.

    However on the second system I tried, the path "C:\Users%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data" didn't have a "Default" folder.

    Not sure if the data in there would be saved to a different path?

    But once I had the first system changed with the manual method, the second system updated after a sign-out/sign-in with the image from my Microsoft account.

    And thereafter the first system then updated to the image from the Microsoft account also.

    Does it work to uninstall then reinstall Edge? Does it pick up the new picture that way?
