Profile picture in new Microsoft Edge won't update

The new Microsoft Edge won't update my profile picture; it is still using an old one.

Steps that I have taken:

1.  I have updated the picture twice online in my Microsoft account.

2.  I have deleted the old picture from both of my Windows 10 systems.

3.  I have deleted my Edge profile several times.

4.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled Edge.

Nothing that I have done seems to help. Would like to know if this is a bug or something else is going on.

    This is a possible solution I recently found. I had the same issue, I updated the picture on my account online just like the instructions directed, however my windows login image and the image in the top right corner of my web browser still showed my previous picture. Try this:

    1. Start Button > Settings > Accounts.
    2. In the Left Menu make sure Your Info is selected.
    3. In the center part of the window you probably see your profile picture. At the bottom you see "Create your picture" with the options of Camera or Browse for one.
    4. Use one of those options to select a new picture.

    Once you accept the change it should reflect in both your login profile picture and also the top right corner of your web browser.

    I hope this works for you!

    that's the problem. I have 3 separate outlook/live addresses, and what tells me which one I'm in is the colour of my profile picture, but it switches around randomly.  It is a bit better than it was, but I've pretty much given up relying on it.

    Had mine working for about one reboot and poof gone again on several computers.

    Same thing a few years ago. I think it is a hacker with a loophole.

    With Two Factor Authorize login hacker cant get into full account but enough with first brute force try to mess with the avatar/pic profile.

    Edge leak is my guess because this happened several years ago too.
