Managing profiles and sync in Microsoft Edge on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
The new Microsoft Edge won't update my profile picture; it is still using an old one.
Steps that I have taken:
1. I have updated the picture twice online in my Microsoft account.
2. I have deleted the old picture from both of my Windows 10 systems.
3. I have deleted my Edge profile several times.
4. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Edge.
Nothing that I have done seems to help. Would like to know if this is a bug or something else is going on.

... although the photo appears correctly in the Microsoft account, Edge is not updating.
Try this:
"%localappdata%\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default" 5. Press Windows key + R to open a run box, press Ctrl-V to paste what you copied into the box and press Enter. This should open the folder containing all the user data for your default profile. 6. Look for the file called Edge Profile Picture.pngand delete it if it exists. Close File Explorer when you're finished. 7. Re-launch Edge and now sign in again. This should cause the browser to fetch a fresh, current copy of the Microsoft Account profile picture.
I've experienced the same problem. I have 2 microsoft accounts and although the photo appears correctly in the Microsoft account, Edge is not updating. It's been 2 days, I've cleared out every file I know possible and tried a few suggestions in this chain.
I've never seen a screen like that.
It's what I see when I click on my profile picture, as I'd hoped the pointer in the screenshot would indicate. I have three profiles set up in this instance of Edge, and you'll notice the option to add a new profile at the foot of the window. I can't say whether this is different in Win 8.1, but I doubt it.
I've never seen a screen like that. Where do I find it? Will it come up under "Profile settings"? I have Windows 8.1 on one computer, Windows 10 on another.
