Profile picture in new Microsoft Edge won't update

The new Microsoft Edge won't update my profile picture; it is still using an old one.

Steps that I have taken:

1.  I have updated the picture twice online in my Microsoft account.

2.  I have deleted the old picture from both of my Windows 10 systems.

3.  I have deleted my Edge profile several times.

4.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled Edge.

Nothing that I have done seems to help. Would like to know if this is a bug or something else is going on.

    I had the same issue with Edge. Finally just went to Edge Pic, left clicked and selected browse as guest. The did the same in reverse and wah lah the pic updated immediately:)

    1. Sign out account in windows account
    2. Go to Settings in Microsoft Edge
    3. Select tab Profiles
    4. Your Personal Profile should be error
    5. Add Profile
    6. Sign in with your personal account
    7. After sign in it will create a new personal profile (Personal 2)
    8. Remove your first personal profile
    9. Edit Personal 2 name if you want

    The followings work for me:

    1. Go to C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default
    2. Create a image file with your profile picture, name it as "Edge Profile Picture.png" if it doesn't exist. 

    I thought I'd found my solution, since nothing else worked.  I did just as suggested and the image in the folder is the one I want (and which is associated with my MS account). I deleted the cache and restarted Edge.  Same old picture. Oh, well. 

    UPDATE: Fixed.  I had to stop all Edge processes and sign off then restart... all's good.
