Profile picture in new Microsoft Edge won't update

The followings work for me:

1. Go to C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default
2. Create a image file with your profile picture, name it as "Edge Profile Picture.png" if it doesn't exist. 

As I mentioned in my first response, this method worked great on the first system I tried.

However on the second system I tried, the path "C:\Users%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data" didn't have a "Default" folder.

Not sure if the data in there would be saved to a different path?

But once I had the first system changed with the manual method, the second system updated after a sign-out/sign-in with the image from my Microsoft account.

And thereafter the first system then updated to the image from the Microsoft account also.

I am only trying to change one computer and mine doesn't have a Default folder either. Let me ask, the name you gave the first one, "Edge Profile Picture.png", is that a name you just made up or is that the name that it normally uses for the picture?

Mr. Page was on April 29 which was 6 days ago. Does anyone else know if the file name he specified, "Edge Profile Picture.png" is the file name Edge actually uses when it sets this up or is that the name Mr. Page might have made up. If we can get the actual file name Edge uses we might be able to dig a little further into this problem.

No joy here. I guess my next step is to try to change information in the AppData folder. I always hate to mess with those things but that's the only left I know to do. Crossing my fingers and will post back here the results.

Does it work to uninstall then reinstall Edge? Does it pick up the new picture that way?
