How to make links open in a new tab in Edge Chromium

Hi, does anyone know how to make links clicked open in a new tab, rather than in the existing tab, in the new Microsoft Edge Chromium, please?

    Can we please just have the Ctrl + Left Click function that other browsers have and we're all used to? Hey, could someone even write an extension that would do this?

    I think that the original poster meant "how do I get every link I click on, including, e.g., from an email message or another application, to open a new tab in Ege, as opposed to creating a new Edge window?".  The Ctrl-leftclick workaround doesn't work in these situations.

    I have the same question, right now Edge keeps opening new windows, which I personally find annoying -- indeed it is the main reason I am still using Firefox, which lets me do what I have described.

    You change the setting under Control Panel -> (View by small or large icon in upper left under search box) -> Internet Options -> 1st Tab - General Tab -> look down to Tab button -> Click it -> Here is where you will find the option how to open 3rd party links

    What everyone is asking for is to be able to do like you used to be able to do with Internet Explorer, i.e., go to Settings and Find a choice to Always Open New Tab or Never Open New Tab, when you click on a link. Duh !!!!!!!

    Is there any way to open links in a new tab automatic, i.e, not have to right click the link every time? Is there a setting in the browser that will automate this? Thank you.
