My Microsoft Edge browser keeps freezing up. I have tried all the suggested solutions with no success. I like the design and functionality offered by Edge, but will change to Firefox until I get a notice that Microsoft has fixed the problem with Edge freeze ups.

This problem has been bugging Windows 10 for some time now, and I've responded with complaints several times over the last year to no avail. Finally gave up and went to Firefox and loving it. Just noticed in my Control Panel that Microsoft had downloaded a "new" version of Edge. Maybe I'll give it one more chance...one last chance.

I have the same problem. Microsoft Edge constantly freezes. I have had to stop using it and switch back to Chrome. I really wanted to use Edge but it just freezes constantly and has become unusable. I hoped with each new Win 10 update that it would be fixed but it has not been. Chrome and FireFox both work quite well, only Edge has an issue. Often Edge freezes as soon as it launches. I hope that one day Microsoft fixes Edge because I would like to use it but that day is not yet here.

I am doing the opposite. Edge is now freezing when I attempt to manage favorites and at other times. I have sent Microsoft a memory dump and all other data, but I simply cannot continue using a browser that locks up twice an hour. I have download Chrome and will begin converting favorites, history, passwords, addresses and CC info tomorrow.. Curious, why are you leaving Chrome? Is there an issue I should know about before I make the switch? Perhaps another browser would be better. I don't need a lot of bells and whistles, I just need a browser that does it's core job without issues.

I stopped using Chrome when I occasionally faced the Aw Snap error when accessing YouTube a few months ago.  Interestingly, as I use Chrome again, that seemed to be fixed.  But even if it's not fixed, I'd rather see the Aw Snap error than have Edge freeze the computer and requiring a reboot.
