Troubleshooting browser crashes or performance issues on Windows 10

Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
My Microsoft Edge browser keeps freezing up. I have tried all the suggested solutions with no success. I like the design and functionality offered by Edge, but will change to Firefox until I get a notice that Microsoft has fixed the problem with Edge freeze ups.

Yes, I simply stopped. I am using windows 11, and am waiting on some dependency to pop up, but have not seen it yet. It should not be an issue unless MS is up to no good. I have been a dominate Chrome user way back to when it first showed up on the scene.
For me the most practical solution is using Chrome. In the past I never had mem issues with it, currently don't see any issues, and don't see why there would be issues in the future. Although Edge has some nice features, Chrome usually follows suit in there delivery. I would prefer Edge, but what can you do. I am in the corporate IT world, and MS has always been slow in fixing problems.
That's exactly what I did.

Hi! Do you mean you simply STOPPED using Edge?

After using all the trouble shooting methods I could find. Deleting caches, resetting the app, restoring defaults, uninstalling all extensions...., nothing worked. In addition, I don't feel I should have to spend so much time on it. I have a new machine with all the required hardware. I hated to do it, but I reinstalled Google Chrome, and defaulted all my apps to it. If only MS would put more focus on these issues. I loved Edge, if only it worked. Been going back the MS browser for many years but I always having to return to Chrome. Hope MS reads these posts.
Dear Tim Fuscaldo,
Thank you for taking the time to reply. This is very discouraging; that you tried " Deleting caches, resetting the app, restoring defaults, uninstalling all extensions...., nothing worked."
I used to like using Edge. I have no idea what happened. I checked and see that I am up-to-date regarding the releases; I have the latest release.
Is the most practical and effective solution to just STOP USING EDGE? If I just shut down and start using another browser, will the memory problem be resolved?
By the way, I found this video and wanted to follow the steps, but I can't even complete Step 1.
