Edge and Chrome freezes while browsing making Windows not responsive for 1 minute follow by Windows explorer behave strangely

As title says, my Windows behave strangely every now and then. When browsing, it may freeze for a minute or so follow by making I can't open everything. If I'm lucky enough, this issue last for 2 hours, if not, I need to restart the PC. Photo below tells it all.

Well, mine after replace to newer harddisk(got 2 HDD clocked 20 years) such freezing issues are lesser(and happens to loading new webpages that I never visit), but now I may be "losing" the new HDD for no reaon, need to turn off power, disconnect, restart Windows, shutdown, connect back everything and problems solved. This happens after I updated the latest Windows Updates.

Also having this same issue. I'm running a Dell Inspiron which did get an Intel Grapucs Command Center update the same day. Firefox is working great. Any ideas appreciated!

After Edge updated, I was having the freezing issues still. I checked and found Hardware Acceleration was turned on again. I turned it off and no problems.

Try doing the fix that was earlier in the comments. Go into your settings for Edge or any chrome based browser, turn off hardware acceleration. It seems to be a fix that helps a lot of people.
