Why does the new version of edge want to turn my web camera "ON"

I have been using the new version of edge for a while now and have come to notice every time it loads up the software tries to turn the webcam connected to the computer "ON".

As I do not use Skype or there is no reason for Edge to need the camera I find it unreasonale for Microsoft to think it has a right to spy on me at my computer by using the camera without asking.I have put black tape over the camera lens on every computer I own that has a camera ( 2 Desktops and 3 Laptops).

This begs me to wonder what other means Microsoft is using to spy on our computers without our consent, I do wonder if there are people who have computers in their bathrooms and do not know they are being watched via the pinhole camera on top of the screen or watching some ones daughter as she is doing her homework on her computer unaware the camera is looking down her cleavage.

    You will also notice that every time you start any Finance Program from your PC that it attempts to connect the webcam for that as well.

    Ok, so you didn't read the agreement then whine about what's in it? And call me 'socially dysfunctional'? And claim to be a 'techie' yet you can't understand the agreement? I could claim you are intellectually challenged, but I won't. Oops, I just did...

    Dude, conflate much? Focus. It should not be happening in the first place as no one has knowingly given them permission to peep at them. Just because one opens a window doesn't give anyone the right to sneak up to the window to peep around your sister's/mother's room to find them undressing. The whole world is not techies like we are just like the whole world are not politicians. We know what you are pulling. Take it somewhere else. And please don't reply with the 80 -page "agreement" that Microsoft knows darn well no one has time to read nor the legalease required to understand it. You sully the matter and your suggestion is half-baked. You are behaving without any morals and perhaps socially dysfunctional.
