remove Bing from microsoft edge

My question is very simple that is HOW DO I REMOVE BING AS SEARCH ENGINE FROM MICROSOFT EDGE.

Please, please and please give me a simple  and direct answer or solution and not by "beating around the bush"

I am getting very fed up with Bing appearing as my search engine. I never as for it but how come Bing came in as my search engine. There are thousands if not millions that HATE Bing. Why is it still there, JUST REMOVE IT OUT FROM THE WEB or whatever permanently.

PLEAE HELP ME TO REMOVE BING IN A VERY SIMPLIFIED  STEPS!

Assuming you're using the Chromium-based Edge, open Edge settings [click ⋯ (Settings and more) > Settings], then choose Privacy, search and services > Address bar and search > Manage search engines. You should see Google as an option. Click the ellipsis (three dots) at the right end of the entry and choose Make default.

    Bing isn't a browser. The first 3 or 4 posts on this page

    Please check the two settings again. There's no way that a search will be sent to Bing if you have them as I indicated. Can you post a screenshot of the page edge://settings/search? This is mine:

    Open that page, then press Shift + Windows key + S to copy the window to the clipboard. Then, in your reply, press Ctrl + V to paste it.
