How do I stop Edge from automatically opening on start up? Windows 10 Pro 64 20H2

Edge is opening EVERY TIME I REBOOT!

Insidiously it is absent from all STARTUP control systems so we CAN'T STOP it.

Does congressional investigations of unfair trade practices do nothing?

How can microsoft be so trumpianly abusive?

Hello, 

Edge version 97.0.1072.62 contains the fix and will be installed per your regular update policies over the next day or so. If you'd like to force the update immediately, you can head over to edge://settings/help in the address bar or Settings > About Microsoft Edge and trigger the update manually.

If you've made any registry edits or GPO changes as mitigation, you can revert those after the update!

    Thank you for your reply! I have just tried your method. I did not see Edge listed in the Startup (folder). I saw Edge listed only in Apps & features (folder). Thank you all the same!

    Blocking can be helpful because it created alot of issues to me also when i need to navigate something i really need in hurry time, so i blocked this and it helped me alot. May be it can help you too.

    You, also, need to bring your OS up to 21H2, asap❗

    I will try to show to what I refer with snips for you... 👇 Turn Off or with T Mgr Disable. You should have at least one listing of Edge, not necessarily 4, like myself... 3 of mine are Insider Channels.

    And you should find listings for Edge in Task Mgr Startup tab.
