Edge is opening EVERY TIME I REBOOT!

Insidiously it is absent from all STARTUP control systems so we CAN'T STOP it.

Does congressional investigations of unfair trade practices do nothing?

How can microsoft be so trumpianly abusive?

Hello,

Edge version 97.0.1072.62 contains the fix and will be installed per your regular update policies over the next day or so. If you'd like to force the update immediately, you can head over to edge://settings/help in the address bar or Settings > About Microsoft Edge and trigger the update manually.

If you've made any registry edits or GPO changes as mitigation, you can revert those after the update!

    AGREE 100%

Agree entirely. I see that the only way I could reply was by signing their 'Code of Conduct'. If I go to buy a used car the last one I will buy is the one the salesman keeps trying to push down my throat (odd image!). That's why I wouldn't use Edge even if it was the best available. I haven't managed to stop it opening up every time I re-start, but delete it ASAP and move on. So annoying.

No, I have already tried all these fixes. Please don't send me repeat fix methods; do your research and look back on the increasingly looooong fix attempt string to see what's been tried, first.

It seems to be a clear admission that they can not compete on a level field, so they have to use any technique, no matter how immoral to pry their way into every corner of every activity. To me Google's search engine is so much superior, bing is always a waste of time.
