'Add all open tabs to collection' option is gone; when you right click on a tab it used to be at the bottom? Help?

That was one of the best features from Edge. I always have a lot of tabs open and it’s so easy just to click add all tabs to the collection. You don’t even have to put a name on it. Are they bringing this back or is it just a glitch that you have to fix?

You have to log out of Edge and then the menu item will appear. You don't have to close the browser and reopen or do anything else. Sometimes when you log back in the menu will appear for a period of time but I have not analyzed how long.. Rather inconvenient I think.

signing out fixes it but signing back in changes the option from 'add to collections' to 'add to favorites'

If you don't use Edge on any other computer or mobile device being signed in is probably not necessary, however, I do so staying logged out does not work for me. I have no idea how being logged out or in affects this property. Is anyone at Microsoft listening?

As soon as you log back in it's gone and replaced by 'add to favorites'

The problem is not with Edge, it is with user account controls (policies).

When you sign out, it loads and saves to the collections from the default profile on the local machine, which is why the option is still there.

Once you sign in to any personal microsoft account, the options change. I presume this is because they are trying to store the collections in an accessible part of the cloud for some sort of "enhanced portability" which is not possible with a local account/profile.

For work/school accounts, there are controls (policies) established by the private work or school domain, that all users have to follow. Because the control is private, this change can't be forced on them and will be up to system admins if made available.

For personal accounts, Microsoft themselves are effectively the domain, so they can force what they want to happen.

This is why I can log into the same browser with my work and personal accounts and have a different experience - they are manged by different policies.
