Again, my take . . . look at the legacy of the issue and the discussions.
MS has no interest in remedying it. Perhaps in the next version of Windows . . . .
Again, my take on it.
OK, not a bug. Imagine, I have a Hotmail account since the 90s, my Microsoft account is obviously linked to that account.
But I'm also a longtime MS developer, I have also an 0ffice 365 company account.
Do I have to go through the hassle of migrating all of my MS personal account services to the address linked to the pro account? Really? For such a "minor" feature? Can't believe that.
Again, not a bug. A bug is something that is supposed to work a certain way, but doesn't. This is simply removed for personal Microsoft accounts.
If you were to actually try to report this to MSFT support, they would not say it was a bug, because the feature doesn't even exist. Think for example of Outlook, the "new Outlook" is missing a billion features and interface elements from the normal desktop version. But you can't report that as a bug because they are missing by design.
"Working on this" more likely means they are considering if they will add it back. Which they probably won't. Which is why we all sit here 8 months later wasting time talking about it.
Yeah, I believe they didn't lie about their work to fix this issue, but this bug is just so complicated and hard to fix, that the Microsoft's engineers need more time.
I hope...
I hope MS is still working on this "Bug"?
