'Add all open tabs to collection' option is gone; when you right click on a tab it used to be at the bottom? Help?

Well, they kind of do. When you see the answer of "We suggest you use the Feedback Hub or post a request at UserVoice," you can pretty much guarantee the feature is dead.

Its incredible as you 'tap . . . . tap . . . tap . . . ' tab by tab to save a group of tabs to a particular collection . . . How dumb the absence of that function is.

Especially when you consider at one point it 'did' exist.

What's next . . . . removing group 'Save Attachments' from Outlook messages??

Again, my take . . . look at the legacy of the issue and the discussions.

MS has no interest in remedying it. Perhaps in the next version of Windows . . . .

100% I think you are right. Totally typical pattern, remove something in order to add something people don't really want, then claim the original thing wasn't popular, and deprecate it permanently.

OK, not a bug. Imagine, I have a Hotmail account since the 90s, my Microsoft account is obviously linked to that account.
But I'm also a longtime MS developer, I have also an 0ffice 365 company account.

Do I have to go through the hassle of migrating all of my MS personal account services to the address linked to the pro account? Really? For such a "minor" feature? Can't believe that.

I am in almost the identical situation as you. Yes, insanity dictates you have to go through a migration.

You can pretty much automate this process. A significant limitation here is that your Work profile will only receive the version of the collection from your Personal profile that existed before MSFT introduced the "new Collections style" for Personal accounts. So for example if you had a Personal collection with 20 items, and then you added 5 more to that collection after they made the change, the count obviously appears as 25. However after using this migration, your Work will only receive the 20 that existed before they made the change.

If you add more items to your Personal collections moving forward, using this process again will not retrieve them. I suspect this is because the collections are no longer cached locally, or if they are, I don't know where that is. Even if we were to locate it, the format is probably different anyway. Evidence is that previously you could use a "Copy Paste" method to move collections between profiles, now trying that just makes a Note with a full text version of the collection.

The process is still useful for an "initial dump." You can migrate any stragglers by using the "Copy Items to Clipboard" function in Personal Collections, and then pasting that into Notepad or Word, and copying the URLs back into Edge.

Here is the process:

• sign into your computer using your Personal account
• use Win + R, type %localappdata%
• Once in this folder, navigate the folders to: Microsoft->Edge->User Data->Default->Collections
• Copy the collectionsSQLite and collectionsSQLite-journal files to the root of your C: drive (you must be an Admin for both machine profiles to do this, if you aren't copy them to a USB stick)
• sign out of your computer
• sign into your computer using your Work account
• Exit Edge if it is open
• go to task Manager and end all Edge processes that might be there. If Windows 11, you can drop open the icon and just end the "Browser" process, it will kill everything. For Windows 10, drop it open and you will have to hunt through them killing until gone
• use Win + R, type %localappdata%
• Once in this folder, navigate to the folders to: Microsoft->Edge->User Data->Default->Collections
• for safety, rename the collectionsSQLite and collectionsSQLite-journal files to collectionsSQLite-OLD and collectionsSQLite-journal-OLD
• Copy the collectionsSQLite and collectionsSQLite-journal files you placed in the root of the C: drive (or on USB) to this folder
• Open Edge

The collections from your Edge Personal profile will now be integrated with your Edge Work profile. If you had collections of the same name, they may come in with (1) appended to the name.
