PDF Table of Contents

Whenever I needed to view a pdf I always used Edge because it has a table of contents in the sidebar, but now that I'm using the new Edge, it no longer seems to have that, I was just wondering if this is a feature that hasn't been integrated yet, or if there's an alternate way of getting it back.

The table of contents feature is now available in the Stable release Edge 86 released October 9th.

    FIND ON PAGE( applies to all pages, not just pdf )

    ( IF you wants to copy and paste with the mouse)

    click them three dots                                            . . . 

    look down the list,  it says    Fi nd on page     Ctrl+F

    a rectangle box below the address bar will open

    paste in what ever you looking to find        hit enter

    ( IF you are going to be typing anyway )

    When a pdf ( or any page ) is open you can   C trl+F

    a rectangle box below the address bar will open

    type in what ever you looking to find        **** hit enter

    NOTE:

    after a search your scroll bar maybe has a bunch of

    weird color lines on it  ( they is showing all the places

    your searched item appears in the doc )

    I agree! I love the search feature and they took it away from us just like that! Really going backwards and inconveniencing so many of us. I hope they will bring it back. Absolute horror to take away from us like that! Annoyed!

    I am struggling to keep my selected pdf software as the default fo open my files. Every few days I need to go and change it from Edge to Adobe. It is exceptionally annoying, and feels that a package is being forced upon me to use. Please sort this out.

    Hi Inomaker,

    I’m Rey, your Windows 10 Advisor.

    I understand you are having trouble launching your pdf on Edge yet after the new update, you can no longer relaunch it using the same as before.

    There are instances that it's not going to launch on Edge, but you just need to edit this. What you need to do is to set this.

    To do this, click your start button, and type default programs.

    Now scroll below and select "Default apps by file type".

    You'll get several of the options, scroll until you'll see .pdf and on the right change the correct app that's being used to EDGE.

    This will enable the pdf files to load using Edge.
