Whenever I needed to view a pdf I always used Edge because it has a table of contents in the sidebar, but now that I'm using the new Edge, it no longer seems to have that, I was just wondering if this is a feature that hasn't been integrated yet, or if there's an alternate way of getting it back.

The table of contents feature is now available in the Stable release Edge 86 released October 9th.

I regret updating microsoft edge. I thought it would come in with better features? Please bring back the table of contents button as soon as possible. I find it very difficult to navigate a 1106 page pdf file. 🙄

I had the same problem with uninstalling the new Edge in order to go back to the good old one. This solution worked for me:
- Download and install IObit Uninstaller app from its official site here:
https://www.iobit.com/en/advanceduninstallerpro.php
(No need to pay to upgrade to the premium PRO version; just use the Free version).
- Open IObit Uninstaller and find Edge on the list, then uninstall it.
- Restart your system. Now you should have the old Edge back on your computer.
You can then uninstall the IObit Uninstaller app itself normally from the control panel (Programs and Features) if you no longer want it on your system.
Please note that we strongly discourage uninstalling - MS Edge Legacy security updates would stop next year. Also as it is no longer being actively developed, you may see issues here and there.
Personal experience from the forums: Softwares like Iobit is a good invitation for long term problems, like core functionalities no longer working.
