Hey, everyone!

I understand that there are a lot of frustrations when clicking a link and seeing this error. This isn't an experience we want for our users. However, we also do not want a thread turning into an unconstructive conversation that does not help us investigate what is happening here. We are listening to you all and currently digging into what is happening but we continue to need more information, and encouraging users to move to another browser inhibits our ability to investigate.

IF YOU ARE COMING ACROSS THIS THREAD BECAUSE YOU HAVE HIT THIS ERROR AND FIND IT LOCKED, PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR TO HELP INVESTIGATE.

For those of you seeing an error RESULT_CODE_HUNG, please submit feedback via the "…" menu in the top right > Help and feedback > Send feedback, check the box to include diagnostic data, and add the string "AMC0215AR-1010LUO-TMEP439" in the description of the feedback. This will ensure that we can easily find your feedback to assist with this investigation.

Because this thread is heading in a direction that goes against our new community guidelines (particularly, the first and fourth bullets), I am locking this down. Thanks for your posts and for the details about where you're seeing this error! This issue has been flagged to the team to investigate, but more information will help the investigation.

It sounds like everyone is seeing this after clicking on links from MSN.com, clicking news links from Bing, or on news links from the new tab page. If anyone in this thread is seeing the RESULT_CODE_HUNG error from another link type or location, please reply here and let me know!

For folks still seeing the issue, if you could submit feedback via Edge's "…" menu in the top right > Help and feedback > Send feedback, check the box to include diagnostic data, and add the string "AMC0215AR-1010LUO-TMEP439" in the description of the feedback. This will assist in investigating.

I have the same problem, using Edge, with pages not responding. This has been going on for two days now.

The error message is: Error code: RESULT_CODE_HUNG and I am given two options: WAIT or EXIT PAGE.

PLEASE, Microsoft, give us some help on this!! I have have enjoyed using Edge until now.

non of the fixes work for the problem

Microsoft needs to address this and fix it

there is no way to fix this error code

it is a MICROSOFT EDGE problem inherent to chrome only and now it is

in EDGE after the last couple of updates

I tried all the repair suggestions THEY DO NOT WORK FOR THIS ERROR

I tried reinstalling "EDGE" THAT DOES NOT WORK EITHER

even a restore or reinstall of windows 10 does not work

I HAVE TRIED THEM ALL

Microsoft needs to fix this error scenario

IT IS THE ONLY THING THAT IS GOING TO WORK PERIOD

THAT'S ALL IT IS FOLK'S
