Managing bookmarks, browsing history, and downloads in Edge on Windows 10

I cannot understand why Microsoft have limited the number of Quick Links able to be displayed on the home page to eight. I have been using Firefox for several years and found that with up to 16 available, I can cover the the sites I uses regularly (although I don't use all 16).
To not even, say, allow an option to increase the number seems to be unnecessarily controlling/limiting.
I have submitted this as formal feedback, I hope more people do so.

Friends and Countrymen!
Listen to this...
My laptop indicated an update was pending, so I rebooted.
When it came back up it was like it had just installed a new version of edge.
You know...screen says what's new in edge, take a tour, and that sort of thing.
So I'm thinking "what the...?"
I start clicking around and there's a little square icon in the upper left corner.
I put my pointer on it and it says, "Turn on vertical tabs."
I click, and it displays my 8 quick links in a side bar.
The last quick link has the + sign for "new tab".
I click it and go to one of my frequent sites, I go back to the side bar where I opened the new tab,
I right click it, and there's a scroll down menu with the option to pin it to
(continued)
the side bar.
I have repeated this action 18 times for various favorite sites, and now have a list which I can display as a vertical sidebar on the left.
Or a horizontal bar across the top.
Has anybody else gotten this?
Thank you for the notice. That subject is not what this thread is about.
We want more than eight Quick-Links on the Edge homepage.
