I cannot understand why Microsoft have limited the number of Quick Links able to be displayed on the home page to eight. I have been using Firefox for several years and found that with up to 16 available, I can cover the the sites I uses regularly (although I don't use all 16).
To not even, say, allow an option to increase the number seems to be unnecessarily controlling/limiting.
I have submitted this as formal feedback, I hope more people do so.

Yep, it's one of the most requested features, and if you check the Top Feedback Summary at the top of this forum, you'll see it's already in the works:
Planned Allow more top sites on the New Tab Page The more users who request it by submitting feedback (Alt-Shift-i in the browser), the faster it will go.
Regarding more than 8 links. I agree with everyone that there should be an opportunity for more. I recently added a new link not knowing it would bump out the link to my bellsouth email website known as "currently". (which could be a WHOLE side story of ATT ridiculousness). My solution right now was to add a favorite which was relatively easy, and as accessible as the links. It appears at the top of the page. Sorry I can't give a step by step as I'm very low tech and do not remember how I got to the URL box. I still use google but I liked the graphics of edge so I use it too.
