Chinese characters disappear when editing a pdf file on Microsoft Edge

Can someone help me with this.

I want to edit a pdf file on Microsoft Edge. It was fine with the English language; but I can't type Chinese characters, like they just disappear.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Czech works for me after enabling the new PDF editor.

    It fixes this and adds an Adobe advert as a bonus 🤡
