Chinese characters disappear when editing a pdf file on Microsoft Edge

Can someone help me with this.

I want to edit a pdf file on Microsoft Edge. It was fine with the English language; but I can't type Chinese characters, like they just disappear.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    issue remains the same in EDGE version 118

    Polish characters like ł ć ź ż ę ą - are also affected and disappearing the same way as on the above gif
