Good evening.

After this last updating of Microsoft Edge, the pen icon is missing. I like to save and write on my Web pages. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

Thank you

The pen is the only reason I bought a Surface. Not happy. Last Surface I buy.

WAIT, you did away with the #1 thing that made me use Edge over Google? WHY? That was one of the best feature. I do love some of the updates, but what gives Edge the edge over Google now?  I have been racking my brain to figure out where this stupid pen icon went to . I'm so glad that I found these comments finally . I loved and relied heavily on that pen icon . I'm just not sure if edge is worth continuing over Google Now . Sigh. Bring this feature back, please.

Edge consumes less memory compared to Chrome, and is faster than chrome, and now provides all the features that Chrome does ( as it is now powered by the same chromium project that chrome is), along with better tracking prevention, ad block.

Edge also provides many privacy features that aren't available on any version of Chrome.

Overall, edge>>>>>chrome in terms of privacy, speed, resource hogging.

Even Bing is better than the google search engine.

Atleast it doesn't track every little thing you do

The pen feature is being discussed on, and will be brought back soon

    exactly,

this has gone on too long and needs to be rectified. The pen is crucial to future of laptops and to forget  or not address this issue is ludicrous.

Microsoft needs to publicly address this situation to us, tell us what is the plan so we can expect the functionality that we paid for when we bought machines and pens for specific purposes. To eliminate a function that was the basis of a sale is actually criminal.

It is time to get it right.

I wish they kept the pen too, but also understand that, for the majority of users, the pen wasn't the main selling point for them. The other improvements the Chromium update brought (updated UI, greater extension support, faster browsing, etc) probably mattered more.

    Alright, no worries.

    Part 1:

    1. Open edge://flags
    2. Search for Experimental web platform flag.
    3. Enable the same.
    4. Restart the browser.

    Part 2:

    1. After that, press Ctrl+Shift+S to open web capture.
    2. Capture the part of the screen you want to ink.

Click Add notes which would allow you to Draw/add notes.

    ii

I followed the steps and there were no options to do the following "Click Add notes which would allow you to Draw/add notes."
