Where have the pen icon in Microsoft Edge gone?

Incidentally, this issue was discussed for the first time, I see, on 14 February 2020. We're almost nine months later, and still no movement on Microsoft's side. What is the selling point of the new series coming out?

This "solution" is not what we are discussing here. If I want to draw on a pdf or picture or whatever I can do that without any unstable dev versions. 

What we want back is the abillity to write on any webpage live. 

Edge used to save the ink on any webpage automatically so that the next time you visited that page the notes you made would still be there. And it was brilliant!

What car manufactor just suddenly removes the abs system on your car and replaces it with a beta version of a mechanical handbrake? No compensation given, no explanation. They have just decided that you dont need what you have payed extra for. 

Answer: NOONE.

Now MS has deleted/removed my edge Beta with inking feature all in the name of progress. Well- to us users, your progress has gone backward. So Cruel - I could not get it back. Sorry Students, your Lecturer has cried over this matter - and MS just smiled and said: "you have to follow me". 

There are hundreds of flags. None of them even mentions ink or pen. So please explaine how to in detail. 

To that I might add: Seriously....what is the matter with all these big companies? Is there nobody there who can reason? You know, draw easy conclusions like 2+2=4.?

If you launch an expensive product with a feature as a sales argument....WHY do you remove the feature BEFORE you have a substitute ready? That is called stealing in plane english. You even made it impossible to roll back to the old Edge to make things extra irritating and troublesome.

No average person bothers with devs and experimental, unstable and unsecure versions. I want what I have payed for.

Ms though.....they reason this way. Unlogical, unprofessional and downright unserious abuse of market power. Im not at all satisfied.

if I want to capture a web page I would have used another application. I want.to be able to show in real time my Web page to students (online teaching) and hi-lite or comment  to what is in the page. Your produre is not suitable (score 0 out of 10, sorry). I am worried by your self confidence. Please give back the inking feature as had been given before. Alright, no worries.

Part 1:

1. Open edge://flags
2. Search for Experimental web platform flag.
3. Enable the same.
4. Restart the browser.

Part 2:

1. After that, press Ctrl+Shift+S to open web capture.
2. Capture the part of the screen you want to ink.

Click Add notes which would allow you to Draw/add notes.
