This thread has run its course and would be locked.

There is no way to go back to Edge Legacy if you have a new version of Edge installed.

Why can't I uninstall Microsoft Edge?

    Hello,

I am William, an independent advisor and I offer support to other users.

For Security purposes, older versions are not provided officially by Microsoft. There are some very old versions here which you may try.

If you want to revert to Legacy Edge (currently v.44.18362.449.0), you  would have to uninstall the new version and then block the automatic upgrade. Legacy Edge would then be re-instated.

If you want to use both versions side by side, it gets a bit complicated. You'll find detailed instructions in this article: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/deployedge/microsoft-edge-sysupdate-access-old-edge

The simplest way to achieve this would be:

    1. Uninstall Edge Stable
    2. Prevent the automatic install of the Edge Stable by Windows Update.
    3. Install the Beta channel of the new version.

This does mean that you'll be running the Beta Channel rather than the Stable Channel. There is little difference.

This did not work. It turned into something called Microsoft Canary. Do you happen to know what this is and if its safe.
