2020 Edge cannot pin web pages to Start Menu ????

Hi, I hope somebody can help. My Windows 10 laptop has installed the new Edge Browser for 2020. It is Edge number 80.361.66, 64 bit. On the old Edge I can go to the more icon (....) at the top right, then More Tools, then Pin To Start. Now on this new Edge there is no Pin To Start. How can I pin a web page to my Start Menu. If I cannot pin a web page to my Start Menu, what's really the use of the Start Menu. I have always had folders on my Start Menu with pages pinned. Now I can't. Can anyone help me? Cheers.

I have figured out a way to pin a site to Start. See the GIF - requires you to pin to the taskbar first. unfortunately, the update to Edge cannot be uninstalled.

    Apologies:  it has just worked after numerous attempts previously.  Before it didn't even show in 'recently closed' but all is well now.  Thanks a million.

    I found another solution that works great!

    The latest build of MS Edge I'm using (Version 87.0.664.66) includes a feature called Apps. It allows you to save a website in a "app" view on Edge (no URL bar/favorites, etc) with some additional settings.

    To add a website (as an apps) to your start menu:

    1. Open MS Edge and navigate to the webpage you would like to add to the start menu (I will be using Google Calendars for this example)
    2. Click Settings > Apps > Install this site as an app
    3. After, click Settings > Apps > Manage apps
    4. On the Manage Apps tab, right click on your app and select Pin to  = Start Menu
    5. Open the start menu and find the newly pinned app (it may be opened under a folder Edge Apps)
    6. Right-click new app and select Pin to start

    Although I have the same version as you, I got it to work but not exactly as per your good, detailed instructions - very weird. I am in New Zealand, I wonder if that makes a difference? However, I was able to adapt to the options that I did have by using your guide lines - and it worked!!!  I would, however, like to know if I can pin said web pages to the Edge Icon on my Task Bar (when you right click the icon and some are pinned and/or it shows recently closed). Some web pages don't show as 'recently closed'  That still seems to evade me.  I have some sites, but not all will pin.  Your explanation was brilliant though.  Thanks............
