Starting this morning, Edge does not remember logins to any website

Starting this morning, every time I close Edge and reopen it, it doesn't remember any of my login so I have to login every time to every website.

I confirmed my setting is set to NOT clear cookies when I close my browser and it has always been this way.  I have never had this issue until this morning.

A features update was installed this morning and that's when this problem started.  Is there a bug with this update?  I'm running Windows 10 and Edge Version 86.0.622.38.  As you can imagine, it is quite annoying having to login to every time to every website.

Update-There must be a bug because other people on Reddit are starting to report the same issue.

Hi folks,

The original topic of this thread (Microsoft Edge not remembering logins) has been resolved. Make sure you've updated to the latest version of Edge to get the fix! I'm locking this thread as it is becoming difficult to moderate and troubleshoot individual issues, and this thread has turned in to a catch-all for all password issues.

If you are still seeing issues with Edge not remembering passwords and all other programs are remembering your logins as expected, please start a new thread so we can help you individually.

If you are seeing system-wide issues with passwords being saved:

• Check your Windows version to confirm if you are on Build 19041.173 or later

• If yes, reference this troubleshooting document Outlook and other apps won't remember password after Windows Updates - Outlook (microsoft.com) Note that this is a workaround until this Windows issue is patched.

I am running Microsoft Edge 87.0.664.57 and still having problems with saving the passwords. I think I put every password in on all of the sites I visit to do my bill pay. The passwords saved for about 7 days and when I went to log in today all the passwords are gone. It is quite annoying when I have had to link my school account so that I can access certain websites. Hosted app data is not selected. Edge was working just fine until the recent update. I am wondering if I can restore my computer back to like November 1st when everything was working just fine.

Just an idea from a non-techy... I was having the same password issue. Basically I found that every time I closed the browser it was clearing all the passwords, even though all my settings were to the contrary.  So, I went and turned on the setting to clear the passords when closing the browser. I then added a password to check it, I closed the browser and the relaunched it; the password was cleared. Then I turned the "clear passords when closing browser" setting back off, added a password, then closed the browser. When I opened the browser, the passwords were still there. I restarted my laptop, just to be sure. After the restart I opened the Edge browser and the passwords were still there.

So I'm guessing just a active reset of the "clear passwords at close" had the effect that we were looking for, though I'm sure I have no idea why!... hope this might be helpful.

Version ......55 seems to have fixed remembering passwords for me. However, Edge does not remember some settings such as settings//cookies/a;;ow cookies from a specified site. Hopefully MS will fix this soon. I've updated Edge 5 times in the last few weeks. Come on, MS, sort it out please
