Starting this morning, Edge does not remember logins to any website

Starting this morning, every time I close Edge and reopen it, it doesn't remember any of my login so I have to login every time to every website.

I confirmed my setting is set to NOT clear cookies when I close my browser and it has always been this way.  I have never had this issue until this morning.

A features update was installed this morning and that's when this problem started.  Is there a bug with this update?  I'm running Windows 10 and Edge Version 86.0.622.38.  As you can imagine, it is quite annoying having to login to every time to every website.  

Update-There must be a bug because other people on Reddit are starting to report the same issue.

Hi folks, 

The original topic of this thread (Microsoft Edge not remembering logins) has been resolved. Make sure you've updated to the latest version of Edge to get the fix! I'm locking this thread as it is becoming difficult to moderate and troubleshoot individual issues, and this thread has turned in to a catch-all for all password issues. 

If you are still seeing issues with Edge not remembering passwords and all other programs are remembering your logins as expected, please start a new thread so we can help you individually. 

If you are seeing system-wide issues with passwords being saved:

• Check your Windows version to confirm if you are on Build 19041.173 or later

• If yes, reference this troubleshooting document Outlook and other apps won't remember password after Windows Updates - Outlook (microsoft.com) Note that this is a workaround until this Windows issue is patched.

    This is still a problem on Edge. 

    The Hosted app data bug that Missy's post refers to was fixed with an update to Edge a few weeks ago. Please visit edge://settings/help to check that your version of Edge is up-to-date. If you're still experiencing a loss of log-in data, the cause is a different one.  The two known ones are:

    1. Running scheduled tasks with S4U authentication. This results from a change in the Data Protection API (DPAPI) with the introduction of Windows 10 v. 2004, and it affects more than just Edge. I understand that only users signing in with a local account see this fault. Troubleshooting steps and a workaround are given in this article: Outlook and other apps won't remember password after Windows Updates. A fix is on its way in a future Windows Update.
    2. Third-party security software. We've seen that uninstalling (some flavour of) Norton works, and another user who uninstalled an IOBit security suite also reported success. I've yet to see a McAfee user who's willing to uninstall it to see whether the problem goes away. These apps will apparently prevent changes to sensitive data (e.g. website log-in data) from being saved if they don't know how to handle them. It may be that the problem has been dealt with in recent updates to these programs. Because of the way that they work, simply disabling them is not likely to help. Windows Defender will continue to protect your machine if you do uninstall your third-party security software.

    It's also possible that an extension is interfering, but we've not seen any examples of this. To troubleshoot this, disable all extensions and test. If the problem goes away, enable extensions again one by one or in batches testing after each change until you can pinpoint the culprit.

    This is still a problem on Edge. If it is not resolved soon I will be abandoning Edge and migrating to Google Chrome.

    Version ......55 seems to have fixed remembering passwords for me. However, Edge does not remember some settings such as settings//cookies/a;;ow cookies from a specified site. Hopefully MS will fix this soon. I've updated Edge 5 times in the last few weeks. Come on, MS, sort it out please
