Why has my share feature on Microsoft Edge stopped working

The drop down box does drop down but it is blank, I am signed in and have tried logging in and out of my account to no avail.

Thank you for explanation but please convey the issue is a bug to MS support team. I spent over 2 hours with online help rep trying to resolve. Result was unsuccessful but should just tell users it's a bug upfront. Lot of wasted time on my end and yours too.

When will Microsoft be releasing a fix for the malfunctioning Share button in the updated Edge software. I have been forwarded four or five responses concerning the Share button not working and being told that it is affecting everyone who is using the latest Edge update. I am told I and everyone else will have to wait for the fix to be released. When will that be ...

I press share to be able to send a web page via email and a blank window comes onto the screen ... this has gone on now for far too long.

I alternate using Edge and Firefox.

Firefox still works.

One difference is that it puts and envelope in the tool bar.
