how do I get rid of Remove ADs TOTAL adblock

Cannot find "totaL AV" .. Cannot see "notify me occasionally with markiting material" in Settings.

I think I have got there at last.

Please understand that I am not au fait with all the specialist terminology of computers (we philologists call this specialist terminology "jargon"), so bear with me as I try to explain how I did it in words a non-specialist should understand.

At the top of any web page, just below the tabs that tell you which pages you have open, there is a row of features.

Starting from the left, there is (usually) a pair of arrows pointing left and right that are black if you have moved backwards and forwards between pages in the web site concerned; sometimes there is just one that is grey.

Next, to the right is the "Refresh" button, that looks like an incomplete circle with an arrowhead.

Then there is a narrow window that shows some or all of the precise address of the page you are looking at; it sometimes includes a padlock symbol on the left to indicate whether the page is safe for financial transactions, and other symbols to the right, e.g.to let you have the page read out aloud to you, to enter "Immersive Reader" (whatever that is), or to add the page to your Favourites.

To the right of this window is a further row of symbols. These symbols seem to depend to some extent on what you have installed on your computer or browser, such as your security.

One of these symbols looks like a piece of a jigsaw puzzle with 3 tabs and a socket (I thought at first it represented a gear wheel or cog wheel with a tooth broken off!). If you hover your mouse cursor over it, you will se it is marked "Extensions"; THIS IS THE ONE! Click on this with the Left Button of your mouse to see a short menu, at the bottom of which the jigsaw piece symbol is repeated, along with the words "Manage Extensions".

Again, click on this, using the Left Button of your mouse and you should see a comprehensive display of all the extensions to Microsoft Edge that are on your computer, grouped according to whether you got them from Microsoft Edge Add-ons Store or from another source.

Among this list you should find the despised extension you are trying to get rid of, in my case, "Remove ADs TOTAL adblock". All I had to do then was to Left Click on the word "Remove" below the brief description of the add-on.

Seems to work (but I have not yet logged off and back on again, so cannot yet be certain). However, I am going to search my browsers in this way to see what else I can get rid of.
