Recently upgraded to the new chromium version of Edge.
The pen & ink settings aren't the same as the last version.
Not able to change the pen color, pen size, select pencil or highlighter if I open a pdf file in edge & try to write on it.
What happened to the choices?
Are there settings to change them?
Do I have to do a screen shot first?
Used to be able to write in real time on an open pdf file.

So i'm deciding whether to switch to the new Edge.
However, the inking capabilities I had in Old Edge are absolutely essential, so need the same features and granularity.
Is it worth switching?
hey..... I guess... they do read these questions and our worries!!! cause now I have colours and I can even change the thickness of the pen!!!!! I didn't go back to the previous version.... but today... I see that there is this drop-down box and there were colours.
I just hope... now I can directly save the same file as before. Now it asks for the file... to save it separately... being a student I prefer my notes all in one place... I don't want multiple copies of same. One which I used to draw (make my notes) and another where no changes!!! I hope Microsoft can look into it!!!
Agrees... Surface or any digital pen support for the new Edge is a must! I won't even look at it, even when installed via Windows Update, until Chrome Edge has full digital pen support (including but not limited to: line size, color, ect).
I also wish to uninstall the new edge.
Same problem.
But when I get to the Uninstall button, it's greyed out and I can't click it.
Is there anotehr way to uninstall it and get the old edge version?
I have sent feedback to the team, and you can too, using Alt+Shift+I. If you would like to receive the latest Edge updates (for when this feature is available) you can use one of the Insider builds. Link:
For now, the only thing that you can do is use an extension. I am personally quite happy with Paint Editor on the Chrome Web Store. Of course, you need Edge Chromium to install it. If you do a quick search on the Chrome Web Store or the Microsoft Edge Insider Marketplace, there are other options too.
