Recently upgraded to the new chromium version of Edge.
The pen & ink settings aren't the same as the last version.
Not able to change the pen color, pen size, select pencil or highlighter if I open a pdf file in edge & try to write on it.
What happened to the choices?
Are there settings to change them?
Do I have to do a screen shot first?
Used to be able to write in real time on an open pdf file.

The new edge has a highlight option. If you want to use the pen you have to select highlight then double tap the word with the pen. If you want to highlight an entire sentence, select the sentence with your mouse. Not as efficient as edge legacy but it works for now. Hope this helps.
This doesn't seem to work for PDF's as it is recognising the document as a picture and not words? Fine if using a word document though.

you could take a screenshot and use snip & sketch to annotate it.
Yes you could use snip & sketch BUT you cant do multipage so please make the pen&inc tool come back as fast as possible

Exactly, these half a** solutions people keep suggesting are just that.. half a**! Why did they get rid of the old browser? I used Edge because it was different than Chome and had features that no other browser had. Specifically, inking! I have a Surface Pro 7. I WANT TO USE MY PEN. That's how the Surface is designed... DUH!
If I wanted Chrome, I'd use Chrome. Now we have a half-a** Chome clone. Thanks for nothing Microsoft.
Not for marking a webpage. This is not even remotely close.
