Recently upgraded to the new chromium version of Edge.
The pen & ink settings aren't the same as the last version.
Not able to change the pen color, pen size, select pencil or highlighter if I open a pdf file in edge & try to write on it.
What happened to the choices?
Are there settings to change them?
Do I have to do a screen shot first?
Used to be able to write in real time on an open pdf file.

i was also looking for solution found one
for those who are not able to find any solution please give a try to KAMI PDF extension which is available in the chrome and edge extension store. you can write on pdf with plenty of colour choice and eraser funtion is very similar to that of edge's pdf reader.

I have to agree. The Chromium version seems to be a step back in functionality. No longer have the ability to read .epub documents and no longer have the ability to make notes or edit (functionally with different colors and line widths of .PDF files.
What a way to "unimprove" the awesome functionality of the Surface platform!
I used this site to increase the number of options to get all my options together. I was finally able to get to the windows screen. I typed myself as the administrator. Then I got the screen I wanted.
The Edge Chromium still doesn't have the function to be able to choose your font, color to edit or make notes on a PDF. This was the purpose in which I purchased the Surface GO was to be able to make notes on PDF in connection with my business and presentations. The only function offered on the new version of the PDF is a "Draw" version allowing use of the pen but it doesn't allow changes to the font or color, and the writing is jumbled. The older version was much more practical in any type of business or educational setting due to the ability to make notes. Is there any way to go back to the old version of Microsoft Legacy.
My computer does not allow me to uninstall edge. Was there something special you did to allow it to be uninstalled?
I did not remove the old Edge, just downloaded the new Edge (based on Chromium) and Installed it. It automatically replaced the old Edge, but kept the Bookmarks/ favorites. Hope this helps.
