new Edge chromium pen & ink settings

Recently upgraded to the new chromium version of Edge.

The pen & ink settings aren't the same as the last version.

Not able to change the pen color, pen size, select pencil or highlighter if I open a pdf file in edge & try to write on it.

What happened to the choices?

Are there settings to change them?

Do I have to do a screen shot first?

Used to be able to write in real time on an open pdf file.

    Your alt + shift + 1 does nothing for me on my surface pro 3. I have windows 10 pro.

    Thanks. Tried Penbook today. Great inking and highlighting capability! However, whatever inking or highlighting I've made... it looks like I cannot save this to the PDF I opened. There appears to have no option to Save Changes to the PDF I opened.

    Not that this is in any way an appropriate replacement, but I happened to have bought the Penbook app on my SurfacePro and the exact same set of pen and ink settings that used to be in Edge are in Penbook. You can open the PDFs and annotate but I have to "tap" through to different pages which is extremely annoying. My Edge updated a few weeks ago and now that I'm back to recording lectures for my courses, I cannot do so as seamlessly as I could before (and as everyone is aware, cannot uninstall the new Edge).

    Microsoft, this (YOU) is a total joke and don't say you are "working" on it. What does that even mean? The settings already existed, put them back.
