Starting today (1/4/2022), whenever I click on a news article in the New Tab page, the Microsoft Start page is displayed instead. How do I stop that from happening?

What are the Country and Language settings are selected in the Page Layout -> Advanced?

As far as I can see, the issue only appears when US - English is selected. With all the other Country - Language settings, the MSN News site opens as expected.

Same problem here, even when clicking an article in microsoft start it just takes me to another microsoft start, occasionally an article will appear but it is rare. I am running windows 10. I also tried the reset that was suggested and it did not work.

You would think that Microsoft would come out with a response saying there is an issue and they are working on it.

    Good Day MesPia,

My name is Carlo, I am also using Windows 10 pc and community member like you. Let us work together to sort this out.

Here's the steps you can try.

    Reset the Edge

-Open Edge and click the 3 dots at the upper right side of your screen.
    -Go to Settings
    -Look for Reset Settings
-Click Restore settings to their default values.

(This will reset your startup page, new tab page, search engine, and pinned tabs. It will also disable all extensions and clear temporary data like cookies. Your favorites, history and saved passwords will not be cleared.)

    Restart and check.

If issue persists, you can re-install the Edge using this link below.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/business/d...

Download and install the version (96.0.1054.62)

Restart once done and check the Edge.

I hope the information above helps. Please let me know how it goes.
Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    Sincerely,
    Carlo T.

Running Win 10 Pro - Same issue here. Did the things Carlos recommended. No change. Problem remains. Hope Microsoft fixes this!

I guess Microsoft is wanting us to use Google News in the future! Mighty nice of them!
